A video showing for the “Groundrush Festival”. Tartu, Estonia, September 2001
A video loop showing the action of a scythe slicing through long grass. The camera was fixed to the scythe so that it is the land which is seen to move constantly, repetitiously in the background – the scythe appears to be stationary. The sound of the blade forcing its way through the tough grass is amplified excessivily to provide an aggressive painful soundtrack to the action.
